Welcome to The Nags Head in Little Hadham

Built in 1595, this pub still retains its character. It is a popular and welcoming country dining pub with small linked heavily beamed rooms, famous for enjoyable food from hearty homemade bar snacks, a frequently changing a la carte menu, daily specials and Sunday lunches.

High tables set in the lower bar with a good portfolio of ales and good quality wines. The restaurant is down a couple of steps which is popular with tourists, ramblers and locals alike. The garden area at the front benefits from all day sun and 2 newly developed rear courtyard gardens act as a suntrap throughout the day.

A warm welcome awaits

Landlords Jack Blackwell and Joseph Clark have taken over the pub in May 2018 and with a wealth of experience in the industry aim to make this a destination for everyone.

Having worked in pubs and restaurants in London and across Hertfordshire their knowledge and experience is key to making this a place to be enjoyed by all, offering a great selection of homemade food, great quality real ales and hand selected wine list.

Local seasonal produce

The food offering will change frequently to incorporate the best locally sourced, seasonal ingredients as will our guest ale pump to ensure there is always something new to offer.

We welcome families all day and dogs in our main bar areas and gardens. Children’s menus are available.
